Born and raised in the Greater Toronto Area.
After studying Jazz Performance for Drums and Percussion at Humber College, Aaron embarked on a performance career that has seen him play with the likes of Steve Gadd, Randy Brecker (The Brecker Brothers), Danilo Perez (Wayne Shorter), Sarah Brightman, Exes For Eyes, Coldjack, Eddie and Quincy Bullen, Nick “Brownman” Ali, Alessia Cohle, Steve Rivers, Urvah Khan, Saidah Baba Talibah (SATE), Björn “Speed” Strid (Soilwork), Lindsay Schoolcraft (Cradle of Filth), Doron Zor, The Vegas North Orchestra, Jane Lu, Dani Strong, Parkside Drive and The Rough Copies as well as countless theatre productions and studio sessions.
In addition to being a performer, Aaron is also a clinician, educator and adjudicator. For the past 9 years Aaron has been the head of the Yamaha Drum Course at the Yamaha Music School in North York, Ontario. This position has been a great opportunity for Aaron to not only share his wealth of knowledge but to exercise his ability to adapt to the drum curriculum put in place by the Yamaha Music Corporation. In recent years, Aaron has seen his position at the school grow from solely teaching private lessons and master classes to becoming a certified National Yamaha Drum Instructor Trainer and Yamaha Drum Exam Adjudicator for all of Canada.
